April Meeting of Toronto Origami Society,
Toronto, ON, Canada, April 27, 2006
To discuss a possible exhibition, workshops at your venue or commissioned artwork
In April 2006, Oriland has settled down in Toronto, Canada. Oriland settlement went smoothly thanks to kind help of Lillian Grammar, John Guppy and Brent Marshall, active members of the Origami Society of Toronto, as well as other members who helped with different matters. The world of origami is very friendly! The Origami Society of Toronto gave a warm welcome for Yuri and Katrin Shumakov on their monthly meeting at the Japan Foundation.
Katrin and Yuri introduce themselves and tell about their exhibitions and plans, their scientific work about how origami helps to develop intellectual and creative abilities, motor abilities of both hands and activate left and right brain at children and adults.
Katrin teaches her Fancy Bootees.
John Guppy makes an announcement about coming events.
Katrin shows how the modules assemble together.
Shoe making is almost finished... Jim Atanas tried to fit the shoe to his foot… Well, obviously he is not Cinderella :)
Everyone wants to fold the paper Ear-Clips. What a good present for Mother's day!
Alex and Tim demonstrate their earrings.
The meeting is over, but everyone wants to continue folding.
