Oriland won a prestigious prize in the annual Cable & Wireless Childnet Awards

Orliand.com website became a winner for the 2002 Cable & Wireless Childnet Award, chosen from 160 entries from 38 countries across every continent. Only 11 projects were selected as winners to receive prizes and international recognition in 4 categories, and they were brought to the Childnet Awards Event in Paris.

Yuri and Katrin came to Paris for a wonderful awards week. The schedule was intensive; it has included a private reception of the French Minister for Families, meetings and workshops in the International school of Paris, visiting famous places of Paris and more.
At 6.30 pm French Time on the 4th April, just off the Champs Elysee, the Award Ceremony was started. Oriland.com received the second prize at the Individual Category. Congratulations!
On the big screen on the stage, during the presentation of winners, there were featuring their websites. Oriland.com promotes the wonderful art of origami for children and adults to bring them joy and help to develop their creative abilities everyone has.
Katrin and Yuri did the origami demonstration on the ceremony how to make the paper "heart". The paper squares were provided by organizers and given in the ceremony package to the audience! 250 guests tried their hands in origami as well as millions of people who watched the webcast of the Childnet Awards Ceremony!
